Main Street and Tourism personnel are especially urging attendance by the following: frontline employees who interact with visitors; community tourism leaders; tourism volunteers; managers of retail shops, restaurants, attractions, hotels, gas stations and convenience stores. The training session will add value to businesses through superior customer service, help employees learn to be ambassadors for their community, and train employees to cater to the desires of the modern consumer.
The two-hour interactive workshop will be conducted byIowa State University Extension and Outreach Service through funding awarded to the Central Iowa Tourism Region by the Iowa Tourism Office and the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The workshop will focus on targeted strategies for businesses and attractions as well as targeted strategies for community tourism leaders.
