Fort Bloomfield Rodeo
The Fort Bloomfield Rodeo is held each summer over the Fourth of July holiday at the covered livestock pavilion on the Davis County Fairgrounds.
The Fort Bloomfield Rodeo is one of the biggest and best IRCA/URA rodeos in the state of Iowa. Since its first year in 1978 the event has won IRCA Rodeo of the Year ten times, plus numerous other awards such as largest payoff, most contestants, best rodeo grounds, most improved rodeo, sponsorship award, appreciation award and Runner-Up Rodeo of the Year. Cowboys and cowgirls come to compete in Saddle Bronc, Bareback Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping and Bull Riding.
