Fort Bloomfield Rotary Parade
The Fort Bloomfield Rotary parade is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bloomfield and the Fort Bloomfield Rodeo. It happens on the Fourth of July.
The starting time for the parade is 1pm. It begins at the Davis County Elementary School, then follows East Jefferson to the north side of the Courthouse Square, then on the west side of the square on Madison Street, to Franklin Street to West Street to Chestnut Street and ends up at the Davis County Fairgrounds on Old Highway 2.
The Rotary Club is responsible for lining up the entries, providing the prizes and obtaining the judges who pick first, second and third places from the floats entered in the parade.
First place – $75
Second place – $50
Third place – $25
The Fort Bloomfield Rodeo acquires the announcer who broadcasts the floats from the judging stand located on the square.
There is no entry fee for the parade, but registration is required by contacting John Schroeder at 641-208-6275 (cell) or 641-664-3293 (home).
