The Amish have been an important part of Davis County for many years.
While farming traditionally was the primary vocation of the Amish, that is not necessarily true for Davis County Amish today. Many are skilled craftsmen and women.
Many Amish retail businesses have sprung up around Davis County, including fabric shops, bakeries, harness shops, green houses, gift shops, country stores, woodworking and furniture shops, discount and bulk food stores as well as construction businesses.
For more information and a map of Amish business sites, visit the Davis County Welcome Center three blocks north of the Bloomfield Square on Highway 63.
